Ingredients: wheat flour, sugar, sultanas (12%) (contains: cotton seed oild), palm oil, rapeseed oil, raising agents (sodium bicarbonate, disodium diphosphate), milk powder, salt, emulsifier: sodium stearoyl lactylate.

All you need is: 150-200ml water or milk, flat baking tray (dusted with flour),  scone cutter or plastic beaker.

To make 6 large scones or 10 mini scones:

1) Preheat oven to 200°C / Gas 6.

2) Pour pack contents into a bowl and add 150ml water/milk. Mix with a spoon, until a soft dough is formed. if too dry, gradually add up to 50ml to get a soft (not sticky) dough.

3) Turn onto floured worktop and knead lightly, using a sprinkle of flour. Press out to 25mm. Use cutter/beaker to cut out scones. Press trimmings together to use up dough.

4) Place scones on floured baking tray. Glaze with milk or beaten egg (for nice golden finish). Bake for 12-17 minutes until golden brown.

5) Allow to cool on a wire tray. Serve with lashings of your favourite topping.

Fan oven: as baking characteristics of fans ovens vary, always check your manufacturer's guidelines.

Top tip: preheat baking tray - this will give you light well risen scones. Enjoy!
