Apeltofft establishes his micro-brewery and opens a bar in this house, where he serves beer, brewed according to Swedish traditions: the Svensköl. This beer was sweet and soft – well different than what the beer fans know today! Back then everything was done by hand. In 1849, Krönleins buys an old fort and builds a cooling cellar and also gained a well, source of fresh, pure water. That water was drawn and transferred to wide barrels, and conveyed by horse drawn carriages.
The house is still in Halmstad and is the perfect place to sip coffee or beer while contemplating beautiful paintings.
