Kilbeggan Irish whiskey was part John Locke's brand for a 100 years and was sold when Locke distillery stoped its activity in 1950.
Locke distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in the world: it goes back to 1757. In 1994, Cooley company brought Kilbeggan back on the market with success.
Built in 1987 by John Teeling, the Cooley distillery in Dundalk was built the scottish way. Most of the buildings and Colley's warehouse are in Locke's (Kilbeggan).
