The brand was born in 1892 thanks to the "Irish Sisters of Charity" who had established a convent the year before in the village of the same name. It is the superior mother, Agnes Morrogh-Bernard who is at the origin of the famous woollen mills.
Their aim was first to provide the means whereby the local people could earn a living.
Over time, the brand has grown and become a true reference of the sector. Foxford is now recognized around the world for the quality of its products and its expertise and knowledge.
The unique style of the brand includes the use of lambswool and a very subtle choice of dyes.
Foxford Woollen Mills draws its inspiration from its Irish roots, which are still very important. Since 1987, the brand has been owned 100% by local entrepreneurs.
