It was founded in 1811 in Epernay by the couple Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët, both passionate about nature and art.

It was in 1842 that the first brut champagne of the house was created: the Cuvée K. In 1902, the House collaborated with Emile Gallé, master glassmaker and pioneer of the Art Nouveau movement: he created the famous bottle adorned with Japanese anemones which will become the emblem of the House.

Since then, Perrier-Jouet has called on recognized or emerging artists to illustrate its bottles, which reflect the timeless elegance of this prestigious brand. Perrier-Jouet is also renowned for its floral and complex cuvées which highlight the excellence of Chardonnay and reflect the know-how of eight cellar masters who have succeeded one another since its creation.
