Lakes also cover the entire region and are mostly known under the “Loch” appellation such as Loch Ness. Highlands reveal a wonderful diversity of landscapes, moors, heather valleys, wetlands and islands such as Isle of Skye. This unique area battered by cold winds brings out the peaty, salty and organic taste and flavours of the Highlands whisky.
