During the last stage of the elaboration of a rum, that of aging in barrels, a part evaporates, which is called the “angels' share”. In contrast, the amount of alcohol absorbed by the cask is called the "devil's share". It is in a nod to this expression that Demon's Share rums were born, produced in Panama by the Bodegas de America distillery.

The best of Panama

Panama benefits from the tropical climate of Central America as well as a rich volcanic soil that allows sugar cane crops to extend over more than 1200 hectares. Climatic conditions that also cause a greater share of angels due to the ambient heat and humidity.
It is in the heart of this terroir that Demon's Share rums are produced with traditional know-how, inspired by the richness of traditions, heritage, breathtaking landscapes and the daily and night-time effervescence of the streets that Panama offers. .
Demon's Share rums are traditional Spanish rums, distilled in column stills and use endemic yeasts from the country to develop the uniqueness of their aromatic palette, before ageing in American oak barrels.

An urban tale

Many urban legends run the bustling streets of Panama. That of Demon's Share is inspired by 7 little artist demons and obviously rum lovers who criss-cross the surroundings of the Canal where an air fragrant with the taste of orange and vanilla floats.

Musician, chef, bartender or traveller, these lively and mischievous little demons work to protect their precious rum from the angels and to make the lives of those they meet more "sparkling".
