Ballykeefe Distillery

Owned and managed by the Ging family. The distillery is located in the heart of Ireland, next to the medieval town of Kilkenny. It was from this region that the first written account of distillation in Ireland came in 1324 in the Red Book of Ossory.

Reviving a lost tradition

For centuries, there were thousands of small family distilleries scattered across Ireland, a tradition that was lost for over 200 years. The Ballykeefe distillery is the first to revive this historic Irish whiskey heritage, produced on a family farm and in operation since August 2017. It is a single estate distillery, where all grains are sown, grown, harvested and distilled on site. Ballykeefe proudly promotes the best traditions and values of craftsmanship and family.
