Connacht Whiskey Distillery, was founded in 2016 in Ballina, a coastal town on the Wild Atlantic Way,
in County Mayo; impacted by the microclimate of Ireland's west coast.
Occupying over 2,500 m², it manages all stages of whiskey production, from mash preparation to fermentation
distillation, casking and bottling, all carried out on site.
The three copper stills, custom-built at the request of master distiller Robert Cassell
slightly different in size and shape from traditional Irish stills, giving the whiskey a unique character
character from the Irish competition.
The distillery's natural, unspoilt environment enables it to use only the finest local ingredients.
It takes advantage of the pure, fresh waters of the River Moy, which meets the Atlantic Ocean.
