At the heart of County Kildare, Deer Park Knitwear was founded in 1984 by Louise and Michael Mahon. What began as a small family business grew steadily, workshop by workshop, client by client, built on a single conviction: to manufacture in Ireland, with the finest materials, and without compromise on quality.

Today, the company employs over 50 skilled craftspeople and operates across three complementary areas: contract production for other brands, the Deer Park Ireland fashion label, and the manufacture of knitwear for schools and corporate clients. Three activities, one standard of excellence.

Craftsmanship at the Core

Deer Park manufactures exclusively in Ireland, sourcing the finest natural wools from Ireland and Italy. Every piece is fully knitted and hand-finished in the Monasterevin workshop. Not in part, entirely.

Hand-finishing is a production reality that demands time, attention and expertise. It is what sets a Deer Park piece apart from an industrially made garment, the human touch, placed on every stitch, right through to the last.

Passing It On: Paul Mahon

Today, it is Paul Mahon, son of the founders, who leads the company. Second generation, same place, same values. The legacy lives on in the workshop, in the hands of the craftspeople, in every sweater that leaves Monasterevin to find its place in a wardrobe in Ireland or across the world.
