Hokkaidō Prefecture

Hokkaidō, which literally means "way to the North Sea", is an island in the north of Japan located near Siberia. It is both a prefecture and a region of Japan, it is also the homeland of the people Aïnou. It is in Yoshi in the prefecture that the Nikka Whiskey distillery was created by Masaka Taketsuru, this event marked the history of Japanese whiskey.
