Armagnac

Armagnac is the oldest French brandy, produced in the Gascony region in south-west France. Distilled from white wine and aged for many years in oak casks, it develops complex aromas of dried fruits, prune, spice and toasted wood.

Unlike Cognac, Armagnac is usually distilled only once in a traditional Armagnac still, giving it a richer texture and a more robust, authentic character.

The production area is divided into three main terroirs:

• Bas-Armagnac, known for elegant and refined eaux-de-vie

• Ténarèze, producing more structured and powerful spirits

• Haut-Armagnac, the rarest area
