Nine Leaves 2018 7 Year Old is an exceptional Japanese rum produced in very limited quantities by Nine Leaves Distillery, founded by Yoshiharu Takeuchi in Shiga Prefecture. Distilled in 2018 from high-quality molasses, it matured for seven years before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 59% ABV. This expression showcases Japanese craftsmanship through an outstanding balance of intensity, aromatic richness and elegance. Bottled without dilution, it fully expresses the distillery's distinctive style.
The nose reveals aromas of golden caramel, honey, tropical fruits, orange peel and vanilla, complemented by cocoa and toasted oak. The palate is rich, powerful and beautifully structured with flavours of cane sugar, roasted pineapple, apricot, dark chocolate, toasted nuts and warming spices. The finish is long, complex and elegant with lingering ripe fruit, vanilla, cocoa and refined oak.
