Glendronach 28 Years Old 1993 Antipodes 70cl 52.3°
Glendronach 28 years old 1993 Antipodes is a Single Cask from a single Oloroso Puncheon cask: a type of cask widely used in the Sherry industry in Spain which has a capacity of 480 to 520 litres. This Glendronach whisky has thus benefited from intense aromatic exchanges during its 28 years of maturation.
This rare edition was distilled at a time when the stills of the Glendronach distillery were still heated in the traditional way, with coal over an open flame. It embodies with precision the rich and exuberant style of this prestigious Single Malt from the Highlands.
Despite its bewitching character, this whisky surprises with its exceptional freshness, both in its aromas and in its flavours. During the tasting, it reveals deep and exotic notes, as well as a herbaceous touch which gives it a unique personality.
The Antipodes collection is a selection of rare spirits from around the world.

For almost 200 years, The Glendronach distillery has stood proudly in the north of Scotland, in the mysterious “valley of the mulberries” from which it partly takes its name. It was in 1826 that its founder, James Allardice, shared his very first whisky with the world. Since then, generations of craftsmen have remained faithful to the same traditional methods, relying on their intuition and five senses to push the boundaries of excellence ever further.
The Glendronach's unmistakable signature comes from an exceptional duality: the marriage of rugged Highland spirit and Spanish elegance, carried by Single Malts slowly aged in the finest Andalusian sherry casks. The result is a crescendo of surprising flavors, an aromatic revelation recognized by connoisseurs the world over.
Today marks the opening of a new chapter in this perpetual quest for excellence, with a redesigned visual identity that highlights more than ever the expertise of The Glendronach team and its multi-award-winning Master Blender, Rachel Barrie.
