Hakushu 12 Years Old 70cl 43°
Single Malt from the blend of different first fill Bourbon casks, the 12-year-old Hakushu is a whisky with vegetal and slightly peated notes.
The Hakushu distillery is one of the highest in the world. In 1973, the founder of the Yamazaki distillery, Keizo Saji chose the forests of Mount Kaikomagatake in the southern Japanese Alps to found a second distillery, Hakushu. The surrounding forest has nearly 6,000 plant species, twice as many as in Western Europe.
The malt whiskies produced in this region benefit from a microclimate, lush forests and water of rare softness and purity, filtered by ancient granite rock.
