Glenfiddich 21 Years Old Winter Storm batch 3 70 cl 43°
The Glenfiddich Winter Storm batch 3 is the third limited edition of the Experimental Series just like the highly successful Glenfiddich Project XX.
For this new experience, Malt Master Brian Kinsman and distillery experts collaborated with a Canadian icewine producer to offer a unique Glenfiddich.
The 21-year-old Winter Storm Single Malt Glenfiddich has benefited from aging in traditional oak barrels before enjoying a 6-month finish in casks containing icewine before.
Icewine is a wine produced from harvested grapes that have been frozen overnight at minus 10 degrees celsius. It is a wine with a high residual sugar content, balanced by its acidity.
This original ripening gives Glenfiddich Winter Storm whisky exceptional sweetness. We find the character of Glenfiddich associated with rich notes of candied fruits and exotic fruits.
The set is presented in an elegant snow-white bottle and in an embossed presentation box with the most beautiful effect.
Described as a perfect Glenfiddich 21 year old, Peller Estate’s Craig McDonald sees it as “a unique balance of the warming soul of whisky and the frozen cold of Icewine.” The taste is a perfect combination of both pioneering liquids, the heightened candied sweets and oakiness of Glenfiddich, complemented by mouth-watering tropical fruit notes and underlying wine notes.

The steep-sided valley where the Fiddich River flows, gave its name to the best-selling malt in the world.
The distillery is located on the banks of the river in Dufftown. Fiddich translates as “stag” from Gaelic and here’s why the animal is now the emblem of the distillery. This famous distillery has been established in 1886 and is still in the hands of the same family (as a limited company). In 1963, the company bet on spreading the Single Malt outside the borders of Scotland – which was considered as pure folly by blended scotch producers, deeming Single Malts as too intense, too richly aromatic or too complex for non-Scots drinkers. Glenfiddich remained traditional and is still heating its small stills with coal and ageing spirit in casks. The whiskies, aged in different woods, are blended in the Glenfiddich cellars, and bottled “at the chateau”! In fact, the distillery overlooks the complete bottling process. Glenfiddich is proud to own the most rewarded Single malt whisky range in the world.
This Single Malt partially aged in Sherry casks and reveals notes of fresh nuts.
