Arran Lochranza Castle Explorer 21 Years Old 70cl 47.2°
This elegant and tasty Single Malt offers a beautiful aromatic richness and a racy complexity. It refers to the eponymous castle located along the north coast of the island.
The Arran Explorers series is a limited edition of The Arran Single Malt. Each edition celebrates the beauty of the landscapes and the diversity of nature on the Isle of Arran. This release brings us to the north coast of Arran Island, directly in the village of Lochranza, the home to the Arran Distillery. It is a large peninsula on which Lochranza Castle extends. It was built in the 1200's as a medieval entrance hall and proudly stands today as the heart of the village.
The Arran Distillery is the last one still operating on the Island, which previously numbered more than 50.

Arran is the only distillery located on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. It has been established in 1995 in Lochranza.
Arran has been a part of the world of whisky for a long time. In the mid 18th century, the island had nearly fifty distilleries (most of them illegal or “moonlight” distilleries), but they all have closed since then. The new distillery opened in 1995 and renewed the tradition of Arran. The spirit produced on Arran received the “whisky” label in 1998.
