This 10 Year-Old Single Malt is the classic expression of Aran, a unique spirit that truly captures the character of the island.  It is undoubtely one of the masterclass collector's whiskies. Un-chillfiltered, this spirit results from the combination of 60% Bourbon barrels and 40% Sherry casks.

Arran is the only distillery located on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. It has been established in 1995 in Lochranza.

Arran has been a part of the world of whisky for a long time. In the mid 18th century, the island had nearly fifty distilleries (most of them illegal or “moonlight” distilleries), but they all have closed since then. The new distillery opened in 1995 and renewed the tradition of Arran. The spirit produced on Arran received the “whisky” label in 1998.

Colour: bright gold.

Nose: the initial sweetness of the rich vanilla notes gives way to the slow distillation aromas - kiwi, banana, melon - sprinkled with cocoa powder. Quite complex, with aromas perfectly matched with the malt.

Palate: a touch of cinnamon add spicy notes to the quite appealing, soft and sweet texture. The typical citrus fruits notes of the distillery have softened with age and reveal a round, deep, sweet oak character.

Finish: a perfectly balanced whisky which lingers on the palate like a golden syrup and fades away really slowly until the next sip. Arran went quite a long way in ten years. The truth is that the best things in life are worth waiting for!
