Arran Single Malt 2006 was aged in Sherry Hogshead casks.

Both fresh and sunny, over the course of the tasting, this edition reveals with extreme delicacy all the nuances of an aromatic and gustatory palette that is constantly gaining height. Chromatically, it is with amber-coloured ink that it leaves an indelible mark on the palate.

Bottled at 53.5° in natural colour and non-chill filtered.

Edition exclusively bottled for France.

Arran is the only distillery located on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. It has been established in 1995 in Lochranza.

Arran has been a part of the world of whisky for a long time. In the mid 18^th century, the island had nearly fifty distilleries (most of them illegal or “moonlight” distilleries), but they all have closed since then. The new distillery opened in 1995 and renewed the tradition of Arran. The spirit produced on Arran received the “whisky” label in 1998.

Products from Isle of Arran

Nose: elegant with fine notes of bitter oranges, salted butter caramel, beeswax and dark chocolate. The nose evolves on notes of passion fruit, fresh nuts and cinnamon, then on aromatic plants, toffee and red fruits.

Palate: delicate and nuanced with hints of honey, apricot and mint. Then appear notes of noble spices (cardamom, dill, pink pepper), cep mushrooms, oranges and Williams pears. The aftertaste is marked by notes of tobacco and cinnamon.

Overall: long, balanced with a spicy character. The finish is powdery (cocoa, cardamom seeds) and fruity (plum and fig jam).
