Baking these scones do not require any special skills: just add the content of the pack to 200ml water, mix, press out the dough, cut out scones and bake. You'll get perfect English scones in no time!

Ingredients: wheat flour, sugar, palm oil, rapeseed oil, raising agents (sodium bicarbonate, disodium diphosphate), milk powder, salt, emulsifier: sodium stearoyl lactylate.

All you need is: 225-250ml/8 fl oz water, flat baking tray (dusted with flour), 8 cm/3'' scone cutter or plastic breaker.

To make 6 scones:

1. Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6.

2. Pour the water into a mixing bowl and then add the contents of the pack. Mix together with a spoon until the dough is formed.

3. Sprinkle flour on the work surface and place the dough onto it. Knead lightly. Put a little flour on the dough and press out until it is 1 1/2 cm in height. Use cutter or breaker to cut out scones. Press trimmings together and repeat to make 6 scones.

4. Place scones on the baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

5. Allow to cool on a wire tray. Serve with lashings of your favourite topping.

Fan oven: as baking characteristics of fan ovens vary, always check your manufacturer's guidelines.

Top tip: preheat baking tray - this will give you light, well risen scones. Enjoy!
