Tomatin 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt that perfectly reflects the distillery's elegant and approachable house style. Initially matured in traditional bourbon oak casks before being finished in Oloroso sherry casks, it develops additional richness and complexity while maintaining its fresh fruit character. Bottled at 43% ABV, it offers a smooth balance of orchard fruits, sweet malt and gentle spices, making it an excellent introduction to Highland single malts.
The nose reveals aromas of ripe apple, pear, honey and vanilla, complemented by raisins, toasted almonds and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is smooth and rounded with flavours of caramel, dried fruits, milk chocolate, roasted hazelnuts and soft spices. The finish is long and elegant with lingering vanilla, oak, ripe fruit and delicate sherry notes.
