To understand the complexity and nuances of this whisky, The Macallan distillery wanted to compare the development of the precious spirit to a guitar's making by partnering with Philippe Debreuille, a famous manufacturer of custom guitars and wood expert. He wanted to understand and make understand the importance of the provenance and quality of wood to achieve a beautiful creation.

Macallan 12 years old Double Cask has a rich aromatic palette with spicy and woody aromas that combine notes of vanilla, butterscotch, candied orange with dried fruits and the sweetness of honey.
