The Lakes The One Sherry Cask Finished is an English whisky made from a blend combining The Lakes Distillery’s own Single Malt with selected Scottish malt and grain whiskies from several regions of Scotland. The blend is then finished in oak casks that previously held Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry.
This maturation places particular emphasis on the influence of oak and cask seasoning on the whisky. Spanish oak, in particular, allows significant interaction between the spirit and the wood during maturation. Bottled at 46.6% ABV, without chill filtration and with its natural colour, The One Sherry Cask Finished belongs to The One collection, which focuses on blends shaped by distinctive maturation techniques.
