Cooking instructions

1. Add 40g/half a cup of Odlums Porridge Oats to 225ml/1 cup of water or milk into a deep microwavable bowl.
2. Stir and place bowl in the microwave.
3. Microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes, based on 800W. Do not cover bowl. Stir midway through cooking time.
4. Stir well and allow to stand for 2 minutes before eating.

1. Pour 40g/half a cup of Odlums Porridge Oats into a saucepan. Add 225ml/1 cup of water or milk.
2. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for approximately 6 minutes, stirring continuously.
3. Remove from heat and serve.

Note: cooking times may vary according to microwave rating.

Tip: steep the oats in the liquid for a couple of minutes before cooking, as this helps them to cook quicker.

Serving suggestions: fresh fruits / a handful of raisins and sultanas / Diced apricots and prunes / a swirl of honey.
