An industrial-scale brewery based in Kilkenny, it was throughout Ireland until it closed in 1918 after a failed gamble... The owner at the time gambled at a horse race in Deauville!
In 2016, two families joined forces to raise it from the ashes: Sullivan and Smithwick. The brewery is in the hands of master brewer Ian Hamilton, whose reputation is well established in Ireland.
