The Hertog Jan Dubbel is often called Double because it has twice as much malt in its beer than a traditionnal beer. It's a brown bock beer, malted a very low in sugar.
It has been created in honnor to Hertog Jan Van Brabant (1252-1294), a beer amator duc according to dutch legends.
Spicy aromas, fruity and slightly bitter make this dutch beer so unique. Its caramel notes, chocolate and fruits makes it a well balanced beer. Its alcohol content is 7.3°, and its color is ruby red.
