THE INK#6 RANGE

This year, for INK#6, we decided to work with two of the world's leading bottlers.

Signatory Vintage, with whom we had already done the first Ink editions, but also the Douglas Laing family business, just like INK#5.

Known and renowned for its brut de fût and non-chill-filtered vintages and bottlings, the Signatory Vintage trading house, founded in 1988, shares the same passion as our experts for top-class whiskies. The selection of casks for the INK range was made directly from the treasures of Signatory Vintage's cellars, as for our first editions. Our collaboration continues to grow, and like a return to our roots and fundamentals, this INK#6 SV range allows us to rediscover old-fashioned distilleries with exceptional Sherry cask ageing.

We discover raw casks with intense texture and roasted juices - great whiskies.

Independent whisky bottler Douglas Laing was founded in 1948 by Fred Laing Senior and is based in Glasgow. Douglas Laing is a leading specialist in whisky selection and bottling. A historic, experienced bottler and a mythical family in the whisky world, Douglas Laing establishes a strong link with the distilleries, the casks targeted representing the very essence of the latter.

This is our second collaboration with this fine house, following last year's range of adventures and discoveries with INK#5.

With these 5 exceptional whiskies, we wanted to focus once again on the complexity, discovery and beauty of the distillates.

That's why the whole range is at 46°, with the exception of Tormore, which is at 48.4°. They are not cold-reduced.

Pleasurable, accessible and rich whiskies.

THE INK#5 RANGE

INK#5 brings together 4 exceptional Scottish Single Malts bottled in 2023: Tamdhu 9 years old,  Inchgower 10 years old, Favorite Island 8 years old and Glengoyne 10 years old.

This new collection is part of our drive to discover and explore new horizons. These casks are unique and exceptional. The special feature of this selection is aging in second-fill bourbon casks, softening the effect of the wood and allowing the distillate to express itself fully.

OUR INK PHILOSOPHY

"In the maturation, one generally evokes the power of influence of the barrel on the whisky but all the art of the experts often consists in valuing the character of a distillate by a perfectly executed aging.

With INK# ranges, we have selected superb and unique distillates from distilleries that are confidential and appreciated by connoisseurs.

For our Royal Brackla, Inchgower, Auchroisk and Caol Ila bottlings, our team deliberately stopped on barrels with a light aromatic contribution to highlight the magnificent work of distillation and the aromatic richness created at this stage. With Bourbon casks or Hogshead refill, each distillate is allowed to talk, breathe and balance. We find the original style from these distilleries: magic is at the heart of the still.

The cask used for Bunnahabhain is a strong and rustic "Sherry Bomb" that completely rules the style of this bottling!

On the other hand, for Ledaig, we chose a Port Cask with a strong aromatic impact while preserving the style of the distillery. A beautiful opposition of style between the fruits and the delicacy of the Port cask, and the original "wood fire" and "barbecue" character of peat Ledaig.
