Tea lovers, you will be charmed by our wide range of teas and infusions, as well as by the various products of our fine food department: biscuits, marmalades, confectionery, spreads…

Browse our cellar to unearth little treasures among our whiskies, beers, rums and other spirits, enough to delight neophytes and enthusiasts alike! Finally, our fashion range for men and women includes pieces of exceptional quality such as the famous Aran sweaters, tweed jackets, wool plaids, or even duffle coats. Not to mention the homeware section to stock up on gifts!

At home or at a relay point, find all the information on delivery with Colissimo. Once your package has left France, it will be handled by a Irish carrier (DPD or other local partners).

NB: Le Comptoir Irlandais is based in France. Our deliveries are made from Brittany in France for shipments within the European Union and worldwide with payment in euros.

Ireland at Le Comptoir Irlandais

You will find in our shop brands appreciated and recognized in Ireland: Barry's Tea, Follain or even Mileeven for the fine food section offer respectively absolutely delicious teas, marmalades and cakes.

But what makes Ireland both special and famous are, above all, its whiskeys: resulting from a triple distillation, they are produced by renowned distilleries such as Bushmills and Midleton, to name but a few. Our Irish cellar would not be complete without the famous beers from the best breweries in the world: Guinness, Smithwicks or O'Hara's.

Ireland can also boast of offering clothing items of exceptional quality: between Aran sweaters, woollen socks (offered in our shop by the Donegal brand), Avoca plaids or Mucros Weavers Irish caps, our shop is overflowing of products, each more remarkable than the other.

If our shop gives pride of place to Ireland, other countries also have their place: Japan, Scotland, England, and of course France also offer quality products that we wanted to make you discover and share. Between whiskies, rums, cognacs, duffle-coats, kilts, spreads, biscuits or even mugs and teapots, you will be spoiled for choice!

Ireland in a few words

The Republic of Ireland shares the island of Ireland with Northern Ireland. If the first is independent, the other is part of the United Kingdom and operates according to the same system: it is directed not by a president but by the Queen of England, the currency in force is the pound sterling and not the euro as in the South, and even the flag and the capital are different from one country to another. But if there is one thing that unites the two parts of Ireland, it is culture! The Green Island has in particular sheltered authors who have marked the history of literature, such as Oscar Wilde and James Joyce, who have today lost none of their literary influence.

In the artistic field, Ireland is known for its traditional music and dance, popularized worldwide by the group Riverdance, without forgetting artists like U2 or The Cranberries, who have become legendary.

Another element that has contributed to the cultural influence of Ireland: the cinema, with multi-award-winning films such as "The wind that shakes the barley", in which the actor Cillian Murphy, main actor of the phenomenally successful series Peaky Blinders, also appears.

The picture would not be complete without mentioning the sports that are the pride of the country: football (Gaelic or traditional), hurling or even rugby.

A country definitely with multiple resources!
