Belgium in brief

Belgium is a federal state which is divided into three regions:

- Flanders, located in the northern half of Belgium, which includes the five Dutch-speaking provinces

- Wallonia, located in the southern half of Belgium, which includes the five French-speaking provinces

- Brussels-Capital, located in the centre of the country, which is both French-speaking and Dutch-speaking.

Beyond its strong presence on the European scene or the many artists who were born there (Stromae, Hergé, René Magritte, Amélie Nothomb or Virginie Efira to name a few), Belgium is particularly renowned for its gastronomy. : between its famous fries, its chocolate or its waffles, it can boast of competing with its French neighbour. Not to mention its famous internationally recognized beers!
