Camus Extra 70cl 40°

Distillery : Maison Camus / Country : France / Reference: : 24338

Cognac Extra is a style of Cognac which appeared in the 1970s under the leadership of Michel Camus and which very quickly became a benchmark in luxury Cognac.

The Cognac Extra from Maison Camus is a blend of rare eaux-de-vie from the vineyards of Borderies, Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne. They have been selected for their aromatic flavour.

The ageing takes place in humid and cool cellars providing a good intensity.

The Cognac Extra is dominated by notes of dried fruit and a complex structure of sweet undertones such as dried violets, pastries, tobacco, leather and nuts that linger in a velvety finish.

Maison Camus was born in 1864 and has remained a family business for 5 generations now. While preserving traditional methods, it still seeks to be at the forefront of science.

With its "Intensity" distillation method, Camus seeks to produce the most aromatic Cognacs possible. This method makes it possible, in fact, to select, during the second distillation, fractions of liquid which are more aromatic and rich in esters.

Maison Camus owns an estate located in the Borderies, a region which represents 5% of the Cognac appellation area. It has 188 hectares of vineyard, allowing it to offer mono-vineyard Cognacs.
