Baron Otard XO Gold is a cognac made from carefully selected eaux-de-vie from the most beautiful and exclusive regions of Grande and Petite Champagne. Its deep amber colour with vermilion reflections is testament to the long maturation of these eaux-de-vie, that aged for at least six and a half years in Limousin oak barrels in the castle cellar.

Baron Otard's House of Cognac, named after its founder, has been established since 1795 in the Royal Château of Cognac. First intended to protect against the invasions of the English and the Vikings in the 11th century, the castle was then used in the 15th century as a stately home and saw the birth of one of the most illustrious kings of France, François I.
Baron Otard, who acquired the castle in 1795, was won over by the thickness of its walls and its many rooms, which provided an exceptional environment, ideal for ageing his eaux-de-vie. More than two centuries later, the legacy of Baron Otard still benefits from this setting and these unique conditions.
