Drambuie Liqueur 70cl 40°

Country : Scotland / Reference: : 20471

Drambuie, a 100% Scotch whisky liqueur!

Let go back in time and imagine what XVIIIe century was like...

The legend goes that Bonnie Prince Charlie, when recovering his Scottish throne, revealed the recipe of his personal drink, the Drambuie liqueur, to a prominent figure of the Culloden Battle: Captain John MacKinnon. The Scottish family carefully kept the secret of the preparation and passed it down from generation to generation. Drambuie derives from Gaelic An Dram Bruiadch, litterally meaning "the satisfying dram" in reference to the beverage. This liqueur is a distinctive combination of Scotch whiskies and Blended Scotch, with honey and heather.

This rich whisky liqueur is extremely fruity and creamy, with unparalled scents and taste... This drink may be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or maybe used as a base in many typical Anglo-saxon cocktails.
