Bache-Gabrielsen French Whisky is a 100% French single malt that showcases the expertise of a house renowned for its Cognac production. Made from French barley, it undergoes a distinctive double maturation, first in Cognac casks and then in casks that previously held very old Pineau des Charentes. This five-year ageing process creates a whisky with remarkable elegance, fruitiness and balance.
The nose reveals fresh hay, pear, mirabelle plum and stewed fruit with delicate floral notes. The palate is smooth and refined with flavours of yellow fruits, acacia honey, vanilla and malted cereals. The finish is long, soft and gently oaky, making it an excellent introduction to French single malt whisky.
