Komasa Komikan 50cl 40°
Komikan gin from the Kanosuke distillery is made from shochu alcohol, a Japanese rice liqueur, juniper berries, cypress bark and Sakurajima komikan.
Sakurajima komikan is the smallest type of tangerine in the world, that grows only in the volcanic soils of Kagoshima in Japan, where the Sakurajima volcano is located.
Each of the ingredients is slowly infused individually, allowing them to develop their aroma.
Komikan is a decidedly fruity gin, imbued with all the sweetness and subtlety of the tangerine Sakurajima komikan.
The Japanese Komasa distillery, specialising in the making of sake since 1883, has been able to develop and expand its possibilities around sochu, notably by creating its brand of gin.
In 1883, Komasa Jozo created his shochu distillery, a rice liquor close to sake, in the heart of Kagoshim Prefecture in Japan.
In 2018, the distillery launched Komasa Gin, an artisanal gin brand based on botanical plants. It benefits from a rich soil for the cultivation of plants and a climate between sea and mountain.
The distillery combines craftsmanship, new technologies and natural local ingredients carefully selected to create aromatic gins rich in flavours.
