Pulteney 14 Years Old 2008 INK4 S.V. 70cl 56°
This edition of the Pulteney 14 years old is part of our INK #4 series selected by our experts and Signatory Vintage exclusively at Le Comptoir Irlandais.
Old Pulteney is the northernmost distillery in Scotland, in the far northeast! The harsh climate to which it is exposed guarantees a slow ageing of the whiskies. It is located by the sea, in a historic fishing port where whisky quickly joined herring in the holds of boats to be exported to all of Europe. It is undeniably the sea that expresses itself in these whiskies, with salty and iodized accents of rare power.
Distilled in 2008 and aged for 14 years in first-fill Sherry casks, this Single Malt is round and balanced, with minerality, maritime notes and a more chocolatey tendency coming from Sherry casks. Cask strength, non chill-filtered, natural colour.
