When reaching bottling age, each Classic Malt undergoes a "cask finish" for another 6 months, in casks originating from the Iberian Peninsula, and becomes then a Distillers Edition.

The founders of Oban distillery were entrepreneurs importing and exporting goods that could match a demand on the market. They would certainly have approved of the Spanish influence of the Fino Montilla Sherry finish, bolstering the malt elegance with subtle wood notes. The light and dry scent of the Andalusian Fino Montilla cask wood is a natural match to the warm fullness of Oban's rich flavours.

A sublime spirit, wonderfully complex and distinguished: a flavoursome nose overflowing with ripe fruits, completed by a hint of salt and notes of caramelized, toasty malt.
