Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Calvados Cask Finish is part of the Barrel Select Release series, showcasing the distillery's expertise in innovative cask finishing. After initial maturation in bourbon barrels, this Highland single malt is finished in casks that previously held Calvados from France's Pays d'Auge region. This unique maturation adds elegant apple notes and gentle spice while enhancing Glenmorangie's naturally fruity character.
The nose reveals aromas of baked apple, pear, vanilla, honey and white flowers, complemented by hints of almond and cinnamon. The palate is smooth and refined with flavours of apple tart, caramel, citrus, dried fruits and delicately spiced oak. The finish is long, fresh and elegant with lingering ripe apple, vanilla, soft spices and vibrant fruit notes.
