Loch Lomond 18 Years Old 70cl 46°
Loch Lomond presents his 18-year-old whisky produced with care in the Highlands. Loch Lomond is a distillery renowned for its know-how in the assembly of malts, cereals and flavours. Loch Lomond 18 years old confirms this reputation.
The balance of this whisky is perfect, complex and rich with detailed notes of fruit and spice. He enjoyed a maturation in Madeira barrels. This aging brings unique aromas to the sweet and slightly smoky character of whisky.
Founded in 1965 in an old dyeing facility, Loch Lomond took over the name of its predecessor located on the other side of the Loch, in Arrochar, and which closed in 1817. As the Loch Lomond distillery closed in 1984, it could only reopen in 1985 as the Bulloch family bought it back to deal with shortages in their Glen Catrine company.
The distillery has the specificity, unique to Scotland, to produce malt whisky and grain whisky on the same site. Loch Lomond is also known to be the favourite whisky of Captain Haddock, in the Tintin’s Adventures comic book.
