Inspired by the legendary Blend created in Belfast in 1776, this whisky is a Blended Malt made from Irish malt whiskeys and grain whiskeys.
Aged for 5 years in Bourbon casks, it is characterized by its spicy and sweet notes, which offer superb balance on the palate.
McConnell's Irish Whiskey was first established in Belfast in 1776 and was a very popular brand for over 150 years. A series of changes in the industry, including the introduction of Prohibition in the United States and a warehouse fire in Belfast's Dunbar Street, prompted a complete renewal of McConnell's.
Now the brand is thriving again and the Belfast Distillery Company team is immersed in "Restoring The Legend", on behalf of brothers John and James McConnell, who would be delighted to see the company become what it was during the Belfast years.
