This Kilchoman with French accents comes from a blend of ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Sauternes barrels. A Small Batch with notes of peat smoke typical of the Islay distillery, which blend perfectly with those more fruity brought by the barrels of Sauternes.

First distillery built on Islay, 125 years ago, Kilchoman has been built as a “farm-distillery” and grows its own barley.
About 100 tons are harvested and malted at the distillery, 30% of the distillery’s needs. The rest is supplied by the Port Ellen malt-house. It is also part of the 6 last distilleries operating with traditional malting processes. In 2009, Kilchoman crafted its first recognized Single Malt. Kilchoman is one of the smallest distilleries of Scotland with an annual production of about 100.000 liters.
