Caol Ila Distillers Edition is a full-bodied Single Malt, refined in Moscatel wine casks, a sweet Spanish wine bringing to the iodine and smoke of this Islay malt sweet notes of honey, grapes and jasmine.
After a twelve years maturation in oak casks, such as the 12 Year-Old Classic Malt version, Caol Ila Distillers Edition has been finished for another 6 months in refining casks that previously contained Moscatel, a sweet Spanish wine.
Moscatel brings an exceptional complexity, subtlety and depth to Caol Ila. The smoke and iodine of this Islay malt are lifted with honey, grapes and jasmine notes.
