Caol Ila 12 Year Old 2013 Itinéraires is an Islay single malt selected by Signatory Vintage for La Maison du Whisky's Itinéraires collection. Distilled in 2013 and matured for twelve years in a single first fill sherry butt, it is bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.5%. This limited release perfectly balances Caol Ila's signature peat with the richness of sherry while remaining non chill filtered and naturally coloured.
The nose delivers layers of peat smoke, dark fruit, candied orange, dark chocolate and walnuts with coastal freshness and warming spices. The palate is rich, oily and powerful, combining smoky notes with dried fruits, cocoa, roasted coffee and sweet spices. The finish is exceptionally long with lingering ash, sea salt, candied citrus and refined oak. It is a superb expression for lovers of richly sherried Islay whisky.

Appearance
Deep mahogany with copper highlights.
Nose
Elegant peat smoke layered with dark chocolate, plum, dried apricot, candied orange, walnuts, sea spray and black pepper.
Palate
Rich and oily with cocoa, roasted coffee, dried fruits, caramel, oily peat, sea salt and sweet spices. The sherry cask adds depth while preserving the classic Islay character.
Finish
Exceptionally long and complex with lingering charcoal, cold ash, dark chocolate, ripe dark fruits, candied citrus and persistent peat smoke.
