Ardbeg Auriverdes 70cl 49.9° - Limited Edition 2014

On the now famous Arbdeg Day, the distillery has launched a new 2014 limited edition : Auriverdes!

This edition has been named after the very characteristics of the Scotch whisky distillery. "Auri" evokes the golden colour of the whisky and "Verdes" refers to the green bottle, hallmark of the brand. The name has been also chosen as a reference to the Brazilian team's nickname, as the Brazilian flag is gold and green.

American oak casks have been specially heated and custom-made for this limited edition. This new heating technique is pivotal to the elaboration of this Single Malt which reveals a quite contrasted aromatic profile, with vanilla notes joining moka coffee flavours.

The last edition, Ardbeg Galileo, has been awarded the Best World's Single Malt prize at the World Whisky Awards 2013. According to Bill Lumsden, Master Distiller and creator of whiskies, 'This edition of Ardbeg is unique and has gone beyond my expectations. This whisky reveals all the typical notes of Ardbeg, together with an unparalleled gustatory experience.'
