Founded in 2017, the young Japanese distillery Yuza sees the birth of its first expression with this Yuza First Edition 2022.
Located between the sea air and the snow of Mount Chokai, the small distillery produces cask strength whiskey with a smooth and airy profile, aged for 3 years in Bourbon barrels.
The tasting is fruity, accompanied by delicate flavours of honey and vanilla.
Edition limited to 8,000 bottles.

Yuza Distillery is a small distillery located in Yamagata prefecture, Japan.
Kinryu Corporation, the headquarters of the distillery, was established in 1950 with the investment from nine sake makers committed to the highest product quality.
Yuza Distillery follows a concept called "TLAS" (Tiny, Lovely, Authentic and Supreme) and aims for the highest level of whisky by adhering to quality and passion. The distillery area is small, but the whisky is made carefully with a focus on "Japanese Whisky" conforming to "The Standards for Labeling Japanese Whisky".
The distillery benefits from clean air and moderate humidity. It uses good quality cold water from underground water recognized as one of the top 100 in Japan. Yuza Distillery is confident in creating enticing whisky packed full with the blessings of nature.
The distillery concentrates on all details to deliver the highest quality whisky and wants to explore the unique flavours that it can offer to deliver "whisky that the world wants" from Yamagata.
