Suntory's first Single Grain, The Chita, is developed at the distillery on the Chita Peninsula, near Kyoto. This distillery was built in 1972 by the 2nd Master Blender of Keizo Saji-Suntory. It is exclusively dedicated to the distillation of grain whisky
It is a high quality whisky made from its blend of 3 distillates and different grain whiskies (mainly corn-based). These whiskies benefited from aging in casks containing in the past wine, Bourbon and Sherry.
It is a light whisky with subtle notes of mint, honey and spices. It has a fruity, spicy and woody profile.
