Hakushu Distiller's Reserve 70cl 43°
The Hakushu distillery located in the heart of the "Japanese Alps", produces a wide variety of Single Malts. The new Single Malt without any mention of age, enriches the Hakushu range by demonstrating all the know-how of this Suntory distillery.
Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve in its ageless version is the fruit of the marriage of slightly peated young whikies to more mature and very peaty aged in different types of casks.
The recipe for this single malt is made from three ingredients:
- First, young whiskies under 10 years old, raised in bourbon barrels and slightly peated, chosen for their pure and refreshing aromas.
- Then, an old whisky raised in American white oak barrels for more than 18 years, in order to bring corpulence and complexity.
- Finally, a young heavily peated whisky, aged about 12 years in bourbon barrels, to bring a hint of smoke.
Bottled at 43%, Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve also contains some sherry whiskies to respect the distillery tradition and add subtlety to this single malt.
The result is a fresh and rich whisky with fruity, smoky and peppery flavours.
