Fascinated by whisky, Masataka Taketsuru decided to go to Scotland to discover the know-how of the best Scottish whiskies.

Upon his return, he founded the Nikka brand in 1934 as well as the Yoichi distillery built with respect for Scottish traditions on the island of Hokkaido. Building on his success, he established a second distillery in 1969 at Miyagikyo on Honshu Island.

Nikka Tailored, Nikka’s high-end blend, is a worthy ambassador of the know-how, culture and expertise of Japan’s historic house.

Assembled with precision and delicacy. This whisky is mainly composed of malt from the two distilleries of Nikka, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, as well as grain whisky. The result is a perfect symbol of balance, roundness and softness.
