Bottled at 42°, the maturation of this old rum required 8 long years in carefully selected Bourbon barrels.

The tasting is intense and warm, generous with notes of mocha, citrus and spices.

Taken over by the Marsolle family after the periods of World War, the Carrère distillery produces excellent agricultural rums under the Montebello appellation.

Products from Montebello

Colour: golden yellow with copper reflections.

Nose: notes of citrus fruits, toasted bread and chocolate. Aromas of mocha follow on contact with the air, then cooked fruit, pine resin and hot sugar.

Mouth: supple and sweet, mocha dominates before giving way to notes of prunes, bitter oranges and nuts.

Finish: persistent, the tannins bring a sweet bitterness.
