This old rum, Isautier 5 years old, is a blend of agricultural and traditional rums, aged for five years in French oak barrels, thus creating an original and complex taste.
On the nose, it offers fresh and balanced aromas of sugar cane and exotic fruits, as well as notes of vanilla and wood. On the palate, it has a beautiful roundness and remarkable elegance thanks to its vanilla and woody flavours, harmoniously associated with notes of citrus fruits and spices.
This rum is delicate, silky, fresh, floral and fruity, perfectly reflecting the typical character of Reunion.
It is often served as an apéritif or digestive, at room temperature in a stemmed glass. Although it is generally enjoyed on its own, it also goes very well with strong cheeses.
