El Dorado Skeldon 2000 rum was produced in the Diamond distillery in British Guiana.
After being distilled in a “Continuous Blair Still” in 2000, the rum has aged for 18 years in a tropical climate. In 2018, the rum was bottled on site “cask strength”.
The small town of Skeldon is located in the North-East of British Guiana, by the sea, near Suriname. Until 1960 it was home to the eponymous sugar distillery, Skeldon Sugar, which first moved to Uitlvlugt, then in 1999 to Diamond, which is now the only distillery in the country.
